US imposes sanctions on 11 Russians, children's camp
WASHINGTON, Aug 24 (PRIME) -- The U.S. has slapped sanctions on 11 Russians and children’s resort Artek on the Crimea peninsula and its CEO Konstantin Fedorenko, the Department of the Treasury said on Thursday.
The list includes mother of the head of the Chechnya republic Aimani Kadyrova and Chairman of the republic's government Muslim Khuchiyev.
The U.S. presidential administration said that the new sanctions were imposed over participation in forced deportations and displacements of people.
